Intro to Collaborate With AI Tools - Outlining, Prose, & Editing

AI does not write whole books . . . yet. When will it become capable? No one knows. But as an author who has been using an AI tool for over a year in my creative writing, Sudowrite, I can tell you that for the near future a human Creative Director will always be needed to craft stories to delight readers. I'm author Elizabeth Ann West and I've been collaborating with AI for my books since late 2021, and with dictation since 2014.

This class walks you through how pervasive AI has become (if you've ever used predictive text on your phone, you're already using the algorithm), how it works, what on earth are tokens, and how to write prompts to make outlines, chapter synopses, and even 200-400 words of prose and how to use AI to developmentally edit and enhance a draft from "vomit" or "zero" status to first or second draft quality.

You will be able to use OpenAI Playground and Sudowrite at the end of this class to aid you in any step of your personal writing process. You will also be informed enough to make ethical decisions right for your beliefs and business plans.

There will be 5 offerings of this class at various times and days of the week between December 17 and December 31 in 2022 and more dates in January and February. Purchasing once you can come to any and every session Elizabeth teaches of this class.
